The first ship on CSAV’s new, weekly all-water service between North Asia and the U.S. East Coast made its first call at the Port of Charleston on its outbound leg back to Asia.
Charleston is the last U.S. port outbound on CSAV’s new America Express Service, or AMEX, a 10-vessel service providing weekly sailings.
The new weekly service is bringing 52 additional ship calls annually, supporting jobs across the harbor, on the dock, and in the supply chain, while linking South Carolina-based shippers directly to markets across Northern China and South Korea. Transshipment in the Caribbean provides additional market access across Central and South America.
The port rotation of the AMEX service is Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Xingang, Busan, Kingston, Port Everglades, New York-New Jersey, Charleston, Caucedo, Cartagena and back to Ningbo.
