Shreyas takes delivery of feeder vessel

SHREYAS Shipping & Logistics Company has taken the delivery of a second-hand 1,300-TEU containership built in 1991. The purchase of the vessel named the "Independent Spirit" is intended to enable the company to expand its fleet capacity to meet expected growth in its logistics business, a financial newsletter from IRIS Business Services (India) Private Limited said.   Shreyas Shipping & Logistics offers feeder services for the container trade in India. The company has six ships, which are used to operate the trade on the west coast of Colombo, as well as the coastal and Shreyas India Pakistan (SIP) service. Asian Shipper News
