Yang Ming has received delivery of the YM Unicorn, an 8,626 20-foot-equivalent unit container vessel built by CSBC Taiwan.
The ship was unveiled at a ceremony at CSBC Kaohsiung Shipyard in China, presided over by Frank Lu, chairman of Yang Ming Marine Transport, and Robert Lai, chairperson of CSBC Taiwan.
YM Unicorn is the last of five 8,626-TEU vessels built for Yang Ming by CSBC. It will be deployed in the NE2 Service connecting Asia and North Europe. The port rotation is Xiamen, Kaohsiung and Yantian, China; Singapore; Rotterdam, the Netherlands; Hamburg, Germany; Felixstowe, England; Antwerp, Belgium; Port Said, Egypt; Singapore again; Hong Kong; and back to Xiamen.
