The CKYH Green Alliance of ocean carriers said it will cancel seven Asia-Mediterranean sailings during the winter to better align supply with slowing demand during the period.
The dropped sailings will come in the period between November and mid-January, the alliance said.
The carriers didn’t specify which services would be affected. The alliance operates three dedicated loops between Asia and the Med ports, while an Asia-Northern Europe service also includes a call at the Spanish transshipment port Algeciras.
CKYH members are COSCO Container Lines, “K” Line, Yang Ming, and Hanjin Shipping.
