MSC Offers Direct Houston-Brazil Service

Mediterranean Shipping Co. is providing a new weekly direct container service between Houston and Brazil. The new service, which was launched in April, calls at Houston; Cristobal, Panama; Manaus, Navegantes, Santos, Pecem and Vila do Conde, Brazil; Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago; Cristobal; and Houston. Its rotation is seven weeks with seven ships averaging 2,500 20-foot-equivalent units. The service will call at the Port of Houston Authority’s Bayport Container Terminal. The Journal of Commerce
