Starting July 1, Evergreen Line will boost rates in its trade from the Far East, including Japan, and the Indian subcontinent to Europe.
The increase will be $975 per 20-foot container and $1,950 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container.
Mediterranean Shipping Co., Hapag-Lloyd, MOL, OOCL, Maersk Line, HMM and United Arab Shipping Co. have also scheduled Asia-to-North Europe rate hikes for July 1, despite recent declining rates in the trade lane. The planned $750 to $1,000 hikes are the highest ever.
