Singapore container volume increases 1.4pc to 2.8 million TEU in May

SINGAPORE container volumes increased 1.4 per cent to 2.8 million TEU in May compared to 2.7 million TEU the previous year. Last month's throughput also improved by 7.6 per cent compared to 2.63 million TEU in April 2013. In the first five months of this year, Singapore handled 13 million TEU, up 1.2 per cent from 12.9 million TEU in the corresponding period of 2012.  Asian Shipper News
