1/26/2007 2:34:31 PM

China Shipping, Hatsu Marine, Maruba and K Line will launch their new Europe/East coast South America service in late March, PR News Service can confirm.

Following our report Copy 4808 dated January 11th, we can confirm that the service will start towards the end of March with six ships mostly chartered from the open market, each around 2,000 teu capacity.

Operating weekly on a 42 day round trip exact port rotation for the new service is still to be finalised, but will most likely include, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, with possible calls at Paranagua and Itajai northbound before heading back to Europe.

China Shipping was “close” to entering the Europe/East coast South America trade during Q2 2006 through a vessel sharing agreement with CMA CGM

Hatsu Marine, which in the near future is expected become part of a new Evergreen Line portfolio, has lately developed its Atlantic business via a Europe/US Gulf/Mexico service started in June 2006 through a vsa with China Shipping and CMA CGM.
