KOREAN Air plans to expand its code-share agreement with Etihad Airways on Middle East and Africa routes, to place its airline KE code on flights operated by Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to Khartoum.
The Abu Dhabi-Khartoum flights will operate five times a week, subject to approval from the Sudanese government.
This comes after Korean Air in mid-September put its airline code on the Abu Dhabi-Johannesburg and Abu Dhabi-Muscat, Oman routes operated by the UAE's flag carrier airline.
The code share flights between Abu Dhabi-Muscat operate twice a week and the flights between Abu Dhabi-Johannesburg operate three times a week.
Korean Air also has code share partnerships with 30 other airlines worldwide, including Delta Air Lines, Air France, KLM, China Southern Airlines and Saudia Airlines.
