THE Port of Qingdao in northern China's Shandong province posted a seven per cent year-on-year increase in container volume to 15.52 million TEU in 2013, reports Xinhua.
Its overall cargo volume in the year increased 10.6 per cent year on year to 450 million tonnes.
Shanghai Shipping Exchange released data show that the port had successfully raised its 2013 status in both cargo and container volume from the eighth to seventh largest in the world and from the fifth to fourth in China.
