Maersk Line is extending its Asia-Red Sea service (FM5), effective March 2007, adding port calls and reducing transit time.
The upgraded FM5 service includes:
- Significantly improved transit time from China to Aqaba (Jordan) by up to seven days
- A direct service from East and South China to Salalah (Oman), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), and Aqaba
- More port calls on both the westbound and eastbound service
The upgraded FM5 service will be launched with the first westbound call in Ningbo (China) on March 6th, with additional port calls at Hong Kong (China) and Aqaba.
The eastbound service will now include calls in Malaysia at Port Klang and Tanjung Pelepas.
