Maersk raising rates from North American to South Africa

Maersk Line said Tuesday it will introduce a general rate increase of $200 per TEU on all southbound dry and reefer cargo from the United States and Canada to Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, effective May 1.

 

The Danish carrier operates a weekly America Express Service (AMEX) between the two regions in partnership with its sister line Safmarine Container Lines and Swiss carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co.
