HONG KONG's Dragonair is raising the frequency of its flights to Busan, South Korea, from three times per week to daily from July 1 pending government approval.
"We have been seeing strong demand on our Busan route since its launch in January," said CEO Kenny Tang. "The performance of the route over the Lunar New Year period and the Easter holidays was particularly good, with load factors on return flights from Busan at close to 100 per cent."
Under the new schedule, flight KA300 will depart daily from Hong Kong at 1430 hrs and arrive in Busan at 1905 hrs. On the return leg, flight KA301 will take off from Busan at 2005 hrs and touch down in Hong Kong at 2225 hrs.
Dragonair will hire Korean cabin crew for its Busan flights in May. The carrier also anticipates that increasing awareness in Hong Kong of Busan as a business and leisure destination will help growth.
