This follows last month's opening of a new branch office in Mundra in the North West Indian state of Gujarat.
OOCL now has six offices in India: Chennai, Kolkata, Mundra, Mumbai, New Delhi and Tuticorin.
"The opening of our new Kolkata office is part of our strategic plan for India," said Bernard Soh, managing director of OOCL India.
He added the new office will serve as a gateway for Eastern India and for landlocked Nepal, and will enable OOCL to cover the growing market of industrial agricultural produce to and from East India.
OOCL offers two weekly services calling Kolkata to/from Singapore for transhipment to its global network.
