Hamburg Süd adds Guatemala, El Salvador offices

Hamburg Süd said it will establish its own national organizations in Guatemala and El Salvador on Jan. 1.   Hamburg Süd Guatemala S.A., with its head office in Guatemala City, will be responsible for the group's container shipping activities in Guatemala in the future. Hamburg Süd's long-standing partner in Guatemala, Transoceanicas S.A., will continue as a partner and port agent in Guatemalan ports.   Hamburg Süd El Salvador S.A de C.V, headquartered in San Salvador, will be responsible for the group's container shipping activities in El Salvador.   The company said the move reflects the growing importance of both markets and will improve and strengthen the relations with its customers in the two countries.   American Shipper
