MISC Berhad Launches East India Container Service

MISC Berhad launched a container service, called the East India Service (EIS), connecting Yangon, Myanmar, and Chennai, India.

 

The Malaysia-based carrier has deployed two vessels of 700 20-foot equivalent units capacity on the EIS, providing a fixed-day weekly frequency.

 

The port rotation is Yangon, Chennai, Colombo, Chennai and back to Yangon, offering a transit time of 3 days between Yangon and Chennai.

 

MISC currently calls India’s west coast ports of Nhava Sheva (Jawaharlal Nehru) and Pipavav with its Halal Express Service that covers the Far East, Southeast Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East trade lanes.
