Hanjin Shipping has announced that it has received its first 10,000 TEU class containership - the first of the series of five 10,000 TEU class ships ordered from Samsung Heavy Industries.
The new Hanjin Korea is equipped with a fuel-efficient and eco-friendly engine that can reduce both fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
According to Hanjin, the vessel will be deployed in the Asia - Europe trade soon after the delivery, which is scheduled for early-July.
The Asian North Europe Service 4 (NE4) calls at Qingdao > Shanghai > Ningbo > Hong Kong > Singapore > Port Said > Rotterdam > Hamburg > Antwerp > Port Said > Singapore > Hong Kong > Qingdao.
The other four ships in the series are scheduled for delivery by 2011.
