Maersk Line will increase rates in its trade from the Middle East and Indian subcontinent to the U.S. and Canada, effective July 3.
The planned hike will be $300 per 20-foot container, $400 per 40-foot container, $450 per 40-high-cube container and $505 per 45-foot high-cube container.
The Danish carrier in a trade notice said the GRI covers all dry shipments bound for ports in the U.S., the Virgin Islands and Canada.
The subcontinent region includes ports in India and Pakistan.
