United Airlines has renewed its cargo general sales agency contract with ECS Globe Air Cargo in the UK and Ireland, extending a fifteen-year working relationship that began when the airline launched services to London in 1991.
The airline currently operates nine flights a day from London Heathrow. Both Washington and Chicago are served by three daily flights, and United also operates twice-daily services to San Francisco and a daily flight to Los Angeles.
Under the terms of the new contract, Globe Air Cargo will be responsible for selling United Airlines’ cargo capacity to freight forwarding customers in the UK Midlands and the North of England, as well as in Scotland and Ireland.
Globe will also continue to manage UK reservations for United, handling in excess of 27,000 customer calls per annum.
