Three ships with capacities of 1,700 20-foot-equivalent units will be deployed on the service. The full rotation links Osaka, Kobe, Hibiki and Hakata in Japan with Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Chiwan, China; Hong Kong, and Laem Chabang, Thailand.

The first northbound sailing will be Dec. 21, from Laem Chabang, and the first southbound sailing will be on Dec. 24, from Osaka.

Hanjin Shipping is also now participating in APL’s existing Japan-Thailand-Vietnam service, which operates with three 2,500-TEU ships, through a space swap program.
