UASC to Hike Asia-Europe Rates in June

United Arab Shipping Co. will boost rates on some of its trade routes, effective June 1 (based on the bill of lading date). From Asia to North Europe, the Mediterranean and Adriatic, the increase will be $675 per 20-foot-equivalent unit for both dry cargo, including special equipment, and refrigerated cargo. From the west Mediterranean to the Middle East, including the Red Sea, India, Pakistan, Asia and Australia, the hike will be $100 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot container for all exports.
