Sea beating air for pharma

Recent Seabury analysis indicates air freight's share of global pharmaceutical transport has dropped from 17 per cent in 2000 to 11 per cent because 'sea is more reliable than air'. Marcel Fujike, Kuehne + Nagel's senior vice president for global air logistics products and services said modal shift was taking place "because sea freight is just more secure: You seal the reefer and off it goes.
