IAG Cargo to increase capacity on Indian routes

3/18/2014 9:15:08 AM

IAG Cargo’s services between London Heathrow and the Indian trade hubs of Hyderabad and Chennai will be serviced by the B787 starting March 31 in Hyderabad and in October in Chennai.

IAG Cargo has introduced the B787 to help support the booming Indian pharma industry. The aircraft will offer an increase in capacity from the B767, which it replaces on the Hyderabad route.

This follows an increase in flight frequencies to Hyderabad from six per week to daily in October 2013. Combined with the greater capacity of the B787, this increase in frequency has led to a 250 percent increase in capacity on the London-Hyderabad route since this time in 2013.

IAG Cargo has also announced that starting October, it will offer daily service to Chennai from its present service of six flights per week.
