Wan Hai Lines and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K”LINE) have reached an agreement to jointly operate a transpacific service to the US Pacific South West (Calco-C).
The Calco-C service is expected to commence on May 11 with six vessels of 5,300 TEU capacity, two by Wan Hai and three by “K’’ Line with the sixth vessel being shared between the two lines.
Together with this new joint service, Wan Hai will enter into a cross-charter arrangement with “K” Line’s Calco-B service as well as Cosco’s CEN service, hence providing customers with more comprehensive service coverage.
Based on this service programme, Wan Hai will continue to provide customers with three dedicated service strings from south, central and northern part of China to US ports of Long Beach and Oakland.
The Calco-C rotation is Hong Kong, Yantian, Xiamen, Long Beach, Hong Kong. The Calco-B rotation is Shanghai, Ningbo, Long Beach, Oakland, Yokohama, Ningbo, Shanghai.
The CEN (North China-Pacific South West Express) service rotation is Xinggang, Qingdao, Shanghai, (Yanshan), Prince Rupert, Long Beach, Oakland, Xinggang.
