American Airlines Cargo is now offering seasonal service between JFK Airport and Rome, and Chicago O’Hare Airport and Dublin through October 25.
The routes will be operated on a B767-300 plane. The carrier is also upgrading its service from Dallas/Fort Worth to Paris, flying a B777-200 plane on the route until August 18.
Officials expect exports of pharmaceuticals to Rome, with the plane returning stateside carrying automotive parts, textiles and high-end fashion. On the Dublin flights, shippers will export computer and machine parts, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, with aircraft parts, electronics and medical products among the goods returning from Europe.
