The Swiss national carrier will offer 70 destinations in 42 countries in its summer timetable, effective 25 March to 28 October. Three Airbus A340s and five Airbus A320s will be added to the fleet in the coming twelve months. There has been a daily connection to Tokyo (JP) since 19 February (previously six flights per week). From mid-July SWISS will also commence daily flights from Zurich (CH) to Los Angeles CA (US), to Santiago de Chile (CL) via Sao Paulo (BR) and to Johannesburg (ZA). Previously these destinations were serviced six times per week.
In other news, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will begin operating direct flights between Copenhagen (DK) and Dubai (AE) on 31 October. The three weekly flights will leave Copenhagen on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays and return on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays.
