CMA CGM has added the Port of Boston on its Black Pearl service, which moves cargo in and out of its mega-transshipment hub in Kingston, Jamaica.
The Black Pearl service, launched last month, deploys an 1,100-TEU vessel on a 14-day port rotation of New York/Boston/Halifax/Kingston.
The direct service will call at Conley Container Terminal in South Boston fortnightly, with containership Stadt Berlin making its maiden call to the Port of Boston on March 23.
“The new CMA CGM service calling at the Port of Boston is great news for our 400-member companies,” said Karen Kenney, president of the Coalition for New England Companies for Trade (CONECT). “CMA CGM expands the services available to New England's importers and exporters, helping to ensure the future growth and viability of our region.”
