Chilean container carrier CSAV will reorganize its Asia-Black Sea Service in February by switching out four port calls.
The changes include new port calls at Busan and Singapore, and suspension of the existing calls at Xingang, Xiamen and Port Kelang. The restructured ABS will also add calls at Beirut, Lebanon, and Piraeus, Greece, and discontinue the current call at Port Said.
CSAV said it will operate a dedicated feeder network covering the Black Sea ports as well as ports in the East Mediterranean and southern Turkey.
The revised ABS port coverage will be: Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singaproe, Jeddah, Beirut, Piraeus, Istanbul, Piraeus, Jeddah, Salalah, Singapore, and Qingdao. The weekly ABS currently deploys 10 vessels of around 5,000 20-foot equivalent units capacity.
CSAV also said it will consider launching a container service between China and the Black Sea, with direct calls at Ukraine and Romania, once traffic volumes on the routes stabilize.
