HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced 11 of bunker and currency surcharges coming into effect from October 1.
An emergency bunker surcharge will be applied to all cargo bound for Hong Kong, Macau and South China from Thailand, US$40 per TEU, Singapore, S$51/TEU (US$40); Malaysia, MY131/TEU (US$40); Philippines, PHP18,000/TEU (US$40); Vietnam, US$40/TEU and Indonesia, US$40/TEU.
For cargo from Hong Kong, Macau and South China to Asian countries, a fuel adjustment factor of US$40/TEU will be applied.
For cargo from Hong Kong, Macau and South China to the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent, there will be a fuel adjustment factor of US$409/TEU applied.
For cargo from Japan to Hong Kong, Macau and South China, there will be a Yen Appreciation Charge of US$60/TEU (US$90/FEU). Unless otherwise indicated, FEU charges are simply double the TEU charge.
For cargo from Hong Kong, Macau and South China to Japan there will be a Yen Appreciation Charge of US$60/TEU (US$90/FEU).
For cargo from Asia to Vancouver, there will be a bunker surcharge of US$424/TEU, US$530/FEU, US$596/40ft high cube and US$641 per 45-footer.
