Zim Integrated Shipping Services is reorganizing the port rotation of its independent Asia-India Subcontinent-East Med Service, known as the AME Service.
The changes include a new port call at Ningbo, China, and suspension of an existing call at Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The revised AME rotation will be as follows: Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Da Chan Bay, Port Kelang, Cochin, Nhava Sheva (Jawaharlal Nehru), Mundra, Suez Canal, Alexandria, Haifa, Ashdod, Mersin, Haifa, Suez Canal and back to Xiamen.
Eight 4,250-TEU vessels are deployed on the weekly service, offering a 54-day round trip voyage.
The first vessel to call Ningbo under the new schedule will be the Zim USA, voyage 66W, arriving Sept. 22. The last vessel to serve Colombo will be the Zim Asia, voyage 68E, arriving Oct. 26.
