Singapore port up 3.6pc in August to 2.8 million TEU, HK down 5.9pc

SINGAPORE's Maritime and Port Authority reported a 3.6 per cent increase in container movement in August, having handled 2.8 million TEU compared to 2.7 million TEU in August last year. Figures from the Hong Kong Marine Department show the port handled 1.86 million TEU in August, representing a year-on-year decline of 5.9 per cent from two million TEU in August last year.   Asian Shipper News
