TASMAN ORIENT has introduced a Shanghai and Qingdao monthly direct service to the Noumea, capital of the French colony of New Caledonia, with two ships from its North Asia Service, the Tasman Voyager and the Tasman Explorer.
Being a regional multi-purpose liner ship operator, Tasman Orient will offer breakbulk as well as container services. The company will also offer service from North China with weekly sailings (via Singapore connecting on our East Asia Service or South East Asia Service) to five sailings a month.
"We are pioneering direct port links between north Asia and Noumea, our new addition making us the first and only line offering a regular direct service from Shanghai and Qingdao to Noumea.
This service enhancement will deliver the following benefits for Noumea importers with heavy lift capabilities up to 180 metric tons, reefer container shipments.
The Tasman Voyager will rotate between Shanghai starting on December 16, reach Qingdao on December 19 and arrive in Noumea on January 8.
