3/19/2013 10:01:27 AM

KOREAN Air has commenced direct service from Sri Lanka and the Maldives to Seoul-Incheon, expanding its network to Indian Ocean nations.

The airline's new three times weekly direct service flies from the Maldives to Colombo first, and then onto Seoul-Incheon. The Male-Colombo/Seoul-Incheon flights operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Its Male-Colombo-Seoul/Incheon route is operated with an Airbus 330-300. The service offers connections to the Americas, Japan, China and other Asian countries through the carrier's network. In addition, South Indian cities such as Chennai are connected to Seoul-Incheon via Colombo.
