Japan’s All Nippon Airways Co. said that its international cargo volume grew for the 12th consecutive month in January on a year-on-year basis, soaring 22.6 percent to 44,687 tons.
ANA’s domestic cargo volume also rose for the fourth month in a row in January on a year-on-year basis, increasing 7.5 percent to 35,409 tons.
Meanwhile, rival Japan Airlines Corp. said that its international cargo volume grew for the 12th successive month in January on a year-on-year basis, rising 8.6 percent to 19,607 tons.
But JAL’s domestic cargo volume fell for the third straight month in January, declining 3.3 percent from a year earlier to 25,934 tons.
ANA and JAL both release monthly cargo, as well as passenger, figures without giving any analysis.
