Japan’s All Nippon Airways Co. (ANA) said that its international cargo volume rose for the fifth straight month in July on a year-on-year basis, jumping 9.7 percent to 47,758 tons.
ANA’s domestic cargo volume grew for two months in a row in July on a year-on-year basis, increasing 3.1 percent to 42,097 tons.
Meanwhile, rival Japan Airlines Corp. (JAL) said that its international cargo volume rose for the fourth successive month in July on a year-on-year basis, surging 7.8 percent to 22,675 tons.
JAL’s domestic cargo volume grew for the fifth consecutive month in July, edging up 1.0 percent from a year earlier to 36,171 tons.
ANA and JAL both release monthly passenger and cargo figures without giving any analysis.
