Yusen Logistics launches Hong Kong and Shanghai consolidation services

YUSEN Logistics (UK) has launched direct weekly less-than-container-load (LCL) services from Hong Kong and Shanghai to Southampton in response to increased market demand for services for the international movement of smaller cargo volumes. The company said these services make use of premium carriers only, with Yusen Logistics offering a transit time of 24 days from Hong Kong to Southampton and 30 days from Shanghai to Southampton, reports the UK's Transport Intelligence. The new routing provides full visibility of cargo in transit and delivery throughout the UK on Yusen Logistics' own tracked vehicles, giving enhanced visibility and security. In addition, the service includes nationwide warehousing and a range of value-added services. Yusen Logistics is also supporting other origins such as Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia via its multi-country consolidation service (MCC) from Singapore.  Asian Shipper News
