The inland port of Paris on the River Seine (FR) is to build three new container terminals. One will be sited in the Limay (Yvelines) section of the port, the others in Montereau-Fault-Yonne (Seine et Marne) and Bruyères sur Oise (Oise valley).
In addition, the management wants to double the handling capacity of the terminal in the Gennevilliers port sector. Port Autonome de Paris (PAP) registered an 8.2% increase in container throughput to nearly 80,000 teu in 2006.
