Japan Airlines said that it will offer a logistics service jointly with Mitsui and Co to revive dwindling demand for international transport amid the economic slowdown.
Under the alliance, JAL – Japan's biggest airline by revenue – will offer its air cargo transport services, while Mitsui – a major Japanese trading house – will provide logistics solution services centreing on sea freight transport to provide a seamless transport process.
The two companies will begin sales operations for the new logistics service from July 1.
