V.Ships Agency and TBS Commercial Group have formed a joint venture company in Brazil called V.Ships Lasa Agencies, with its head office in Rio de Janeiro.
The new JV combines the extensive local knowledge of the LASA network in Latin America with the worldwide agency experience V.Ships Agency.
V.Ships Lasa Agencies provides agency operations for all ship types and covers the full range of agency services from terminal operations including crew change and the management of admin/ legal requirements.
The same services are available at all other ports in Brazil through a select range of specialised sub-agents.
V.Ships provides ship management and related services to a fleet of around 900 vessels. Headquartered in Dubai, V.Ships Agency has a network of offices and owned partnership offices covering the UAE, India, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Rotterdam, London, Monaco, Greece, Trinidad, Miami, Houston, Argentina and now Brazil.
The TBS Group of companies provides transport solutions including ocean transportation for breakbulk, bulk, Ro-Ro and project cargo, portside/inland logistics, and comprehensive support services.
TBS owns a fleet of 35 ships consisting of twenty multipurpose tweendeck vessels and fifteen handysize / handymax bulk carriers. The Group has offices on five continents.
