Ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd plans to raise rates from the Indian subcontinent — India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka — to North Europe and the Mediterranean by $250 per 20-foot-equivalent unit, effective Feb. 1.
The carrier separately announced changes to its terminal-handling charge for full-containerload exports from Doha, Qatar, and its equipment maintenance fee for Singapore, as well as revisions to the bunker surcharge, currency adjustment factor and similar fees for service to or from North Europe, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, and South Africa and West Africa. These changes likewise are scheduled to take effect on Feb. 1.
