Finnair will fly a freighter twice weekly to Hanoi, Vietnam.
There is also a new frequency to the airline’s Brussels cargo hub, which was opened in April. This additional weekend frequency to Brussels improves services connecting shipments between Asia and Central Europe as it increases the available wide-body cargo capacity of the Brussels operations by 40 percent.
“Our Brussels hub is a core part of Finnair Cargo’s growth strategy and another step in improving service and lead times between our Asian destinations and Central Europe,” Juha Järvinen, managing director of Finnair Cargo, said.
The winter schedule also improves connectivity from the U.S. to Northern Europe. The freighter operation will fly directly from New York’s JFK Airport to Helsinki on Thursday nights, with onward freighter connections to Brussels, Hanoi and Hong Kong, and wide-body passenger aircraft services to Asian destinations.
