Cosco to take slots on CSCL's AMX 1 to offer new Asia-Med service

COSCO is offering an extra Asia-Mediterranean service by purchasing slots on the Asia-Mediterranean (AMC 1/AMX 1) loop jointly operated by United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) and China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL), starting from April 25 from Qingdao. The company will also brand the service, AMX 1, which uses ten 6,900-8,500 TEU ships and turns in ten weeks. South Korea's Hanjin Shipping and Taiwan's Evergreen also started taking slots on the service from this month, reported Alphaliner.   Asian Shipper News
