Cosco to Increase Rates in Central America Trade

Cosco Container Lines will increase rates on all shipments from the Far East and Indian subcontinent to Panama, the Caribbean (Venezuela, Colombia and Costa Rica) and Mexico, starting March 15. From the Far East and Indian subcontinent to Panama and the Caribbean, the increase will be $700 per 20-foot container and $1,000 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container. From the Far East and Indian subcontinent to Mexico, the hike will be $500 per 20-foot container and $1,000 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container. The Journal of Commerce
