German airports report increased cargo

Cargo traffic at Frankfurt Airport rose 1.4 percent in 2013 to almost 2.1 million tonnes.

Meanwhile, passenger figures increased by 0.9 percent.

Fraport Group, which owns Frankfurt Airport, had revenue climb by 4.9 percent to 2.56 billion euros.

At the Berlin airports Schönefeld and Tegel, 3,132 tonnes of airfreight were recorded in February – 40.5 percent more year over year. The airports also saw 7.9 percent more passengers.

The total number of flight movements in February rose by 6.9 percent.
